Terms

How we describe and sell our cars, and where you stand. Last updated 23 August 2026.

Who you are dealing with

Vehicles on this site are offered by DREAM CARS. These terms apply to the information published on this website.

Vehicle descriptions

Every description, photograph and specification on this site is given in good faith and is believed correct at the time of publishing. We describe known faults and cosmetic damage rather than leaving you to find them, and we photograph the marks we mention.

Even so, descriptions are a guide and not a substitute for inspecting the car. Mileage, service history and MOT status are recorded from the documents supplied with the vehicle. We encourage you to view and drive any car before committing to buy it, and to satisfy yourself that it suits your needs.

If you spot something on this site that looks wrong, please tell us and we will check it and correct it.

Prices and availability

All prices are shown in pounds sterling (£). No VAT is added — the price shown is the total payable.

We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged on our vehicles or our workshop work, and we cannot issue a VAT invoice.

The price shown is the price of the vehicle. We do not add administration or preparation fees at the point of sale.

Stock changes daily. A vehicle appearing on this site is not an offer to sell and does not guarantee availability — cars are sometimes sold before we can update the listing. No contract exists between us until it is agreed directly with you.

This website does not take payments, reservations or orders. Everything is arranged in person or by phone.

Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015

When you buy a vehicle from us as a consumer, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you statutory rights that these terms do not affect. The vehicle must be:

  • of satisfactory quality — taking account of its age, mileage and price, and of any faults we described to you before you bought it
  • fit for purpose — including any particular purpose you told us about
  • as described — matching the description, photographs and specification we gave you

If a fault appears within 30 days of taking delivery, you have the short-term right to reject the vehicle for a full refund. Between 30 days and six months, you can ask us to repair or replace it; if that is unsuccessful, you can claim a refund, which may be reduced to reflect the use you have had. A fault found in the first six months is assumed to have been present at the point of sale unless we can show otherwise.

These rights do not cover fair wear and tear, damage caused after sale, or faults we clearly brought to your attention before you bought the car.

Vehicles sold as spares or repairs

We do not currently list any vehicle as unroadworthy or as spares or repairs. If we ever do, it will be labelled clearly on its own listing, sold on that explicit basis, and it will not be driven away on the road.

If something goes wrong

We would always rather hear about a problem than not. Please follow these steps:

  1. Tell us. Contact us by phone or email so we can look at it. Most things are settled at this stage.
  2. Put it in writing. If you are not satisfied, write to us setting out the problem and what you would like us to do. We will acknowledge it and respond in full.
  3. Take it further. If we still cannot agree, you can contact The Motor Ombudsman at themotorombudsman.org, or get advice from the Citizens Advice consumer service on 0808 223 1133, which can refer the matter to Trading Standards.
